     LUKE P. RYAN focuses his practice on construction defect litigation. He has experience on both the plaintiffs' and insurance defense sides. He has also handled general civil litigation, products liability, and real estate litigation matters. Mr. Ryan has represented thousands of California homeowners since 1993, and has recovered millions of dollars for them.

     Mr. Ryan has a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of Nebraska and a Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego School of Law. While attending law school, he was a member of the University of San Diego Law Review and a tutor in the academic support program. He received American Jurisprudence Awards in Contracts and Conflicts of Law. A prolific author, he has been published in the California Regulatory Law Review and California Litigation Magazine.

     In the case of Lu v. Superior Court (1997) 55 Cal. App. 4th 1264, Mr. Ryan was instrumental in advocating the Grand Lincoln Village Homeowner Association's position to the Court of Appeal about the importance of having a comprehensive Case Management Order (CMO) in complex construction defect cases.

     Before his legal career, Mr. Ryan completed ten and one-half years of Naval Service as a commissioned officer in the United States Navy as a Special Warfare Officer, S.E.A.L.
